Coronavirus tests for children
We administer the following tests for SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infections:
- Nasopharyngeal swab with PCR analysis in the laboratory
- Spit test with PCR analysis in the laboratory (usually possible from about 6 years of age) – do not eat or drink anything for at least 1 hour beforehand
- Nasal and throat swab with a rapid test in the practice (results available immediately on-site)
Your doctor is happy to advise you on which test is best suited for you—or whether you need to take a test at all.
Costs
Since January 2023, no costs have been covered for coronavirus tests either by the federal government or by the health insurance companies (exceptions only in the case of serious pre-existing conditions).

COVID-19: Vaccination for children
Based on the new vaccination recommendations for children, we no longer offer COVID-19 vaccinations at Kinderarzthaus. However, we generally support the recommendations of pädiatrie schweiz as well as the BAG and the EKIF.

Hygiene measures
We ask all of our patients and their companions to adhere to our hygiene measures:
- The hygiene instructions of our employees must be followed
- Masks are mandatory for everyone with symptoms of infection (such as a cough, runny nose, hoarseness, nausea)
- Please pay attention to your hand hygiene and use the hand hygiene dispensers in our practices
- Arrive on time for your appointment to avoid waiting
